Towards the end of my summer, I took a day trip to Cold Spring, NY. With my parents and my friend from school, we drove an hour and a half to the small town on the Hudson. After getting lunch at the local French restaurant and searching through tiny antique shops, we walked under the train tracks to the other side of the village. Here we saw the river West Point in the distance, and by it we saw the Women of the Wind. Riding in on their motorcycles, they looked intimidatingly powerful. I nervously approached them for a photo right before they left. I didn’t want to miss my chance to meet them. They were so kind and excited to be photographed. I only took a few, as I didn’t want to hold them up, but I love these photos because they remind me of this day and the Women of the Wind.
