In a Dream I Saw a Way is a photo series about love and lust, about desire and passion, about yearning and needing, about safety and security. The series evokes and encapsulates the feeling you get when someone you love looks at you and when you’re surrounded by those who truly see you—the warmth in your chest and the desperate desire to keep that warmth close, to capture it and hold it within your heart for as long as you can. Focusing on queer people and trans folk and people of color, In a Dream I Saw a Way depicts marginalized folk in a space where they feel safe and warm; in a dreamlike, fantastical realm between dreams and consciousness. The series captures these individuals as participants willingly sharing their space and their existence rather than as objects, through relating rather than spectating.
